Today, marked the opening of a branch clinic in Chandigarh at House No. 2209, Sector 44C. It was opened with the generous support from Shri Dharam Pal Gupta ji and his family who offered their house to Men Tsee Khang to run the clinic free of cost.
Director of Men Tsee Khang Mr. Thupten Tsering and the head of the Branch Department Mr. Ngawang Chemi headed from Dharamsala to the newly shifted branch clinic to attend the opening ceremony. A small religious ceremony was held in August presence of IAS officers, Shri J. M. Balamurugan Ji, Principal Secretary of Defence Services Welfare, and Shri Nilkant Ahvad Ji, Secretary of Public Works Department of Punjab Government. Shri Balamurugan and Shri Nilkant expressed their heartfelt congratulations and addressed the gathering on the importance of Tibetan medicine and culture. The Director of Men Tsee Khang expressed his great joy in opening the Chandigarh branch clinic and wishes to serve the people of Chandigarh and neighbouring states in line with the vision of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
The clinic is shifted from a previous location inside Chandigarh with Dr. Tsering Choenga supported by two other staff at the new location. They aim to operate with the motivation of service and compassion. The Clinic will be closed every Tuesday and on other official holidays.
