59 years old Photo Album | Tibetans in Diaspora
He is 79 and he holds a photo album which is 59 years old! He shared a brief moment with us.
He was just a boy when he crossed the mighty Himalayas on foot because of the Chinese illegal invasion of Tibet in the year of 1959. Thupten carries a lifetime of memories many of them captured through his own lens.
In his twenties, he began photographing life in exile.Not just taking pictures—but developing them by hand, preserving moments that might have otherwise been forgotten.
His photo album is his most treasured possession.Every image holds a story. A place. A piece of home.
More than 60 years have passed…And yet, one dream remains unchanged—To return to the land he once called home.
This is Thupten’s story.A story of memory, exile, and hope.
