At around 10:00 AM, the marchers raised powerful slogans: “Free Tibet,” “Tibet belongs to Tibetans,” “Stop killing inside Tibet,” “Stop cultural genocide in Tibet,” and “The Ethnic Unity Law is a law of genocide.”
During the demonstration, executive members of the Tibetan Youth Congress visited the United Nations office and the Prime Minister’s Office of India to submit memorandums. They appealed to the United Nations to address China regarding the recent so-called “Ethnic Unity Law” and to give greater attention to the human rights situation inside Tibet.
