China pressures UK broadcaster to cancel documentary on Tibet’s oppression

DHARAMSHALA, Feb. 18: The Chinese embassy in the UK has called for the cancellation of ITV’s documentary Inside China: The Battle for Tibet, which offers a rare and covertly filmed look into the lives of Tibetans under Beijing’s rule. The documentary, produced by an ITV journalist who spent a year secretly filming while avoiding police scrutiny, sheds light on the plight of over seven million Tibetans living under China’s oppressive policies.
