Dalai Lama’s 90th Birthday Reflection & Blessings | Long Life Prayer Ceremony | June 2025
His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Message at Long Life Offering Ceremony | Tsuglagkhang, Dharamshala – 2025
On the occasion of a heartfelt Long Life Prayer Offering Ceremony, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama addressed thousands gathered at the Main Tibetan Temple (Tsuglagkhang) in Dharamshala.
In this video:
His Holiness reflecting on his early life, ordination, and escape from Tibet.
A moving story of a vision of the Buddha, and his pledge to serve the Dharma.
Encouragement to cultivate bodhichitta and the view of emptiness in daily life.
His thoughts on spreading the teachings despite adversity and exile.
A gentle reminder: “Every morning I generate bodhichitta and pray to be of service to others.”
This moment was part of a larger ceremony organized by former CST Darjeeling students, the Tibetan Community of New York & New Jersey, and the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota, joined by over 5,500 devotees.
