Delegates criticise China for allegedly trying to eradicate Tibetan culture, identity

Dharamshala: Members of Tibet Support Groups criticised China for allegedly attempting to "eradicate Tibetan culture and identity" on the concluding day of the three-day conference in Dharamshala on Monday.

Addressing the gathering, German MP Michael Brand condemned what he described as China's attempts to wipe out Tibet's unique culture and called for stronger global efforts to protect and preserve it."We must spread the news — the ugly and tragic news — of the hundreds of thousands of children being forced into Chinese indoctrination, separated from their parents and families, only to cut the roots of the precious Tibetan language and tear apart the Tibetan heritage," said Brand.
