The second edition of the Freedom Trail trek concluded in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang district, commemorating the 14th Dalai Lama’s historic 1959 escape from Tibet. The six-day journey retraced the spiritual leader’s path from Kenzamani to Pungteng-Tse, marking his arrival in India sixty-six years ago. Led by local officials and monks from the historic Tawang Monastery, devotees and residents participated in the commemorative march.
