DHARAMSHALA, April 8: Dr. Christian Schwarz-Schilling, a longtime advocate for Sino-Tibet dialogue and a steadfast supporter of the Tibetan cause, reportedly passed away on Monday at the age of 95.
A prominent figure in German and international politics, Dr. Schwarz-Schilling served as a member of the German Bundestag for over two decades and held the post of Federal Minister for Post and Telecommunications. He later took on significant international responsibilities, including serving as the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he played a key role in post-conflict mediation and governance.
