Many young Tibetans in the southern Tibetan settlements are venturing into various business activities. Among them is Dorjee Lhundup, who came from Tibet and has leased land in Hunsur Rabgyeling to take up ginger farming. Though ginger cultivation is often considered a high-risk, high-reward agricultural venture, Dorjee Lhundup is determined to make it work. The crop, however, has also faced its fair share of criticism, particularly over the use of chemicals in conventional farming methods.
