Gonpo Kyi sustains injuries after jumping from hotel in Lhasa

DHARAMSHALA, Nov. 5: Gonpo Kyi, the sister of imprisoned Tibetan businessman and philanthropist Dorje Tashi, has reportedly sustained severe sprains to her feet and waist after jumping from a hotel in Lhasa on October 20, marking her second such protest in just two months.

Videos and images of the incident were posted on the social media platform X under the handle Sakar Tashi, showing Gonpo Kyi with a bandaged knee, bruised thigh, and severe bruising on the lower back. Sources indicate she is currently undergoing treatment and remains under tight surveillance.
