For over seven decades, the Chinese Communist Party has crafted and disseminated official narratives about Tibet that stand in stark contrast to the recorded traditions and oral histories preserved by Tibetans themselves. This analysis reveals how Beijing’s state-produced cultural programming and educational materials fundamentally distort Tibetan history, identity, and lived experience.
