Sikyong Penpa Tsering, the incumbent Kalon (Minister) of the Department of Health, with honourable Minister of AYUSH, Shri Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav. 

New Delhi: On 23 April 2025, Sikyong Penpa Tsering, as the incumbent Kalon (Minister) of the Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration, paid a courtesy call to honourable Minister of AYUSH (Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy), Shri Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, and highlighted the ongoing efforts to strengthen traditional Tibetan medicine and support its practitioners.

Sikyong was accompanied by Representative Jigmey Jungney from the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Health Secretary Jampa Phuntsok, Executive Director of Tibetan Medical and Astro Institute Thupten Tsering, and Passang Topchen, section head of the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine (CCTM).

The key agenda of the meeting was to secure support for Tibetan Sowa-Rigpa practitioners under the provisions of the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014.
