Born in New Delhi, Tenzin Pelmo is an alumna of Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. She has over a decade of experience as a social worker, supporting immigrant communities across India, and is currently engaged in running a business in Darjeeling. She also brings rare first-hand insight gained from learning directly from Gyalo Thondup, the elder brother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
This episode explores her decision to contest the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, her vision and policy priorities, her past and ongoing work for the Tibetan community, and her perspectives on the future of Tibet and Tibetan democracy.
