Tibet at Columbia Heights City Hall/ Taksham Rinpoche Day

The City of Columbia Heights proclaims December 20, 2024 as "Terchen Taksham Rinpoche Day" I was honored to speak to the Council-members and the residents of the city about Tibet and what this proclamation means to our community. The Mayor Amáda Márquez Simula will be presenting the proclamation at the community event celebrating Rinpoche's 18th birthday. *The young reincarnated lama was officially recognized by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trizin and Garje Khamtrul Rinpoche Jamyang Döndrup. His Holiness the Dalai Lama personally conferred blessings, the Mañjuśrī transmission, and performed the traditional hair-cutting ceremony.
