Tibetan Culture and Advocacy Highlighted in Chile Through Public Talk “Echoes of Tibet: Sustaining Identity Through Culture and Tradition in Exile”.

Chile: On 8 August 2025, the Universidad de Tarapacá in Arica hosted Kalon (Minister) Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) for a public talk titled “Echoes of Tibet: Sustaining Identity Through Culture and Tradition in Exile.” The event was well attended by general public and the education community. Kalon spoke about the resilience of the Tibetan people in preserving their language, traditions, and spiritual heritage despite decades in exile.

Kalon further emphasised the importance of His Holiness’s reincarnation, referring to his July 2025 announcement reaffirming that the Dalai Lama Trust in India holds sole responsibility for matters concerning his reincarnation—thereby safeguarding the authenticity of the Tibetan spiritual tradition.
