Tibetan Lama Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances in Vietnam
On April 3, 2025, Humkar Dorje’s monastery in China announced he had “suddenly died of illness” while on a “religious retreat.”
His followers say the Rinpoche had fled from interrogation, and died after being arrested by Vietnamese police and Chinese security agents in Vietnam.
