Tibetan Public Marathon 'Run for Dharamshala' Held on World Health Day

To mark World Health Day on April 7, the Tibetan Settlement Office in Dharamshala hosted the "Run for Dharamshala" marathon. Guided by the Central Tibetan Administration, this community event aimed to promote critical awareness surrounding public and individual wellness. Fifty-one Tibetans participated in the morning run, showcasing a broad demographic range. Ten-year-old Tenzin Pema was the youngest runner, while fifty-eight-year-old Phurbu Tsering was the oldest. The health initiative concluded with a special ceremony where Health Department Joint Secretary Pema Youdon awarded cash prizes and official certificates to the top finishers, celebrating the community's fitness efforts.
